It was in the mid 1950's when Albert and Ray Mueller settled in Old Monroe as a permanent location for Mueller Bros Timber. This unique area lies in close proximity to the confluences of the Mississippi, Missouri and the Illinois rivers. The area provides an optimum growing environment with an abundance of quality hardwoods.

Having built a reputation for meeting the needs of farmers for barn and dimension lumber, they were eager to expand to other markets. In the years to follow the operation continued to grow and lay the foundation for the generations to come.

It was in the 1960's when brothers Bill, Don and Tom took over the operations. The growth throughout the years with the addition of equipment and knowledgeable personnel has put Mueller Brothers where they are today, a fully automated operation focused on maximum yield and minimum waste while producing the finest quality hardwood lumber anywhere.

Mueller Brothers is proud of the lasting relationships it has built over the years with its customers and its employees. These relationships carry on today with the 3rd generation. Randy, Kevin and Tracey sons of Bill and Don have taken over and are active daily in the company and strive to keep Mueller Brothers a top producer of quality hardwoods while meeting the demands of the lumber industry in the 21st century.

We focus on total log utilization. Every part of the log is used from bark to sawdust and everything in between. Species produced include Red and White Oak, Walnut, Hard and Soft Maple, Cottonwood, Sycamore, Hick and Cherry.
